That's such a nice looking bass! I visited your forum earlier today. Lots of information there!

Many happy returns. A top bass, but just could not afford to keep it without an amp!! Thanks to kiwi I have a nice mesa 400+ so we are both happy!

You're going to be rearranging some furniture with that amp I think :-)

Yep the Elan 6 is sweet although I'm wondering whether its worth looking at some upgrades to the eq. to make it a little more flexible. Having said that, it might be worth considering for a SF-2 instead perhaps?

Any suggestions?

I found the 'lectrics more flexible than first meets the eye; there are a host of sounds hat can be acheived through careful use of the blend and q. otherwise I think an sf2 would be fun..

Don't know if you're still monitoring this or not, but I was wondering how you would describe the tone of that maple body (at least that's what it looks like) compared to mahogany or ash.

Hi mate,

It is quite dark sounding with a very detailed top end. There are some samples of it here, unmixed and straight into desk after a limiter:

One or two of those clips are my Vigier passion - you should be able to tell which!

Cheers
