This wonderful bass is in transit to me from fellow club member Trevor Lindsey - thanks Trevor! Can't wait to take it for a spin. My first Alembic, which I bought brand new and still have is an '85 Spoiler. I've been playing my SC Deluxe since '07, so perhaps I ought break out the Spoiler and reacquaint myself with medium scale, eh? |

Congratulations & Compliments. The first Alembic I ever played was a Distillate. I wouldn't be here today but for that quintessential moment. |

Paul, Your 85 Distillate could be my 85 Distillate's sister! If you don't mind what's the SN#? Mine is 85D3532. Love that Bass! Congrats! Enjoy! Pete |

Pete, I'll let you know the SN# when I receive it. I also have an '85 Spoiler that I bought brand new all those years ago, so it'll be interesting to see how close all the SN#'s are. Interesting notes about the Distillate - equipped with factory installed d-tuner. Also, the laminate on the back of the headstock is zebrawood. |

Turns out the top on this is Bocate, not Cocobolo. Outstanding bass, nevertheless. |
