Simon You are right however I was able to get it from Matt directly at a great price! Matt is a pretty cool guy who delivered it personally to my home. He was up visiting his mother here in the San Francisco bay area and he brought it with him from Los Angeles. This bass is brand new as far as I can see and it is ten years old. One thing though this bass weighs a ton. I am not sure of the exact weight but I strapped it on and had to take it off quickly. It makes my Series I feel like an Essence. By the way Matt says to say hi to Mica! |

Rory, Cool, and very good of him to deliver it. In an interview in Bass Player magazine,it says that Matt Malley had fretted and fretless Series 2's that he kept in his home studio.I'm guessing yours is the latter,it would account for it's 'as new' condition. I was really surprised when you said how heavy it was compared to your Series 1.It's so long since I played one I'd forgotten. As is often said here, enjoy it in good health (Preferably on a wide, comfortable strap!). And don't forget, always lift from the knees! Best wishes, Simon. |

Rory: Congrats on the family addition. Beautiful looking axe. Howzabout some more pix? Do you think we'll ever see the sun again? (For those who don't live in Oakland, it's been raining a LOT lately ... yesterday my wife and I were singing "I'm dreaming of a dry christmas!") Bill, tgo |
