Here is my latest Alembic. It's a 98 Epic Special Edition, #51 of 60. This thing was in desperate need of some tlc when it arrived. It's like someone spilled coke into it and all the crumbs, dust and skin stuck to it over the years. Yuck! It is much better now

IIRC it was a special run they did for Guitar Center back in 1998. |

Yes, it was a run for Guitar Center. It also has the oval inlays, and extra body "stripe" laminated into the wood and brass plates covering the truss rod and electronics cavities. This bass plays very well and sounds great! The flame top is almost identical to the one on my Excel, so they look loke twins |

Wow Paul, Your Epic's really beautiful. I've come to regret passing up the opportunity to get one a few years ago. It was a 6 - I don't remember the top wood. Probably flame or quilted Maple. Around $1600 brand new!!! Try and find that today. Enjoy - and my best wishes for you. Rami |

Congratulations Elzie, You'll enjoy that Epic quite a bit, I bet. I wish my Epics had inlays, but both of mine are standards (not the GC run) although I bought my first at a GC in Villa Park, IL. Mike |

I found a place that's selling another one of these limited edition Epics as well as a really cool 5 string. Here's the site http://www.williesguitars.com/ I've purchased quite a few vintage Jazz Basses from this place as well as an older Essence (a '93 I believe with a beautiful Koa top), so I can vouch for their honesty. Check them out. Rami |

I recently purchased the 4 string from Willies American Guitars. This is the most unbelievable instrument I have ever owned. It is #16. |
