I guess you've all experienced this must-have-feeling when it comes to Alembic. Well here're somes pics from latest attempt to drive myself bankrupt. An 1990 medium scale Persuader with a P/J PU combination. This baby has an incredible fast neck and seems the perfect slap machine to me. After I bought this baby I lowered the string action down to 2mm without any buzz. I simply can't stop playing now and my MK has new girl friend :-)
Will someone please stop me ;-) ?

BTW: I'm not sure about the colour. Is this purple or burgundy or something else ? The seller wrote it reminds him on a good glass of wine. Well, I am sure the Persuader sounds better.

I would much rather suffer from "Alemp-urge"; (the overwhelming urge to purchase an Alembic), than to suffer from "Alem-Purge"; (the need to sell an Alembic to pay bills, support a "habit"...)

Nice pics! The flame Maple shows through the color nicely, especially in the first picture; that's a really nice shot!

That thing is drop dead mint to be '90! I love ALEMBICs in color, and with the P/J Activators in a mostly maple body, it's certainly gonna be a slappin' fool.

Congratulations, I love basses that are SO unique: Just imagine you probably own the only purple Distillate in the world!

Yes, the bass is in remarkable good condition, much better than you would expect from a 16 year old bass. Even the frets didn't show any sign of playing. BTW: the pics were made by the previous owner, a professional photographer. My own pics rather look like weird holiday shots :-)
