My 1986 Distillate w/ Walnut top I bought back in November '05. Hope this goes through. Have'nt had a lot of time figuring out photo resizing. Currently the pre amp is at Alembic getting the upgrade and repair. The e.q. switches did'nt work when I got it, so I can't wait to hear them w/ the filter! Playbootsy - as far as I can see, it's not a Spoiler body shape but a Distillate with an extended upper horn. |

As far as I can tell after looking at a lot of Distillates, is that they started extending the upper horn sometime around the mid-80s. All the early 80s Distillates have the shorter upper horn, while all the mid and late 80s distillates have this more extended upper horn. But note, they all have the same small lower horn, which makes the overall body shape different than the Spoiler style body, which has a more extended lower horn as well. Curt |
