KEI-KNAPPE BAS MAN! High Manfred, you living in Holland, me in Belgium and both Alembic players on an instrument from the same year (See "Bonnie" at the Series department). So I guess we will once meet in the same store in Hilversum ;-) Two questions: - is that the standard body-style for the EVH? I never knew they were made with the "longer" upper horn. - I see a XLR-type connection???? So I guess your bass has an external power supply? I never realised that that was an option with non-series basses. So your bass don't have a standard jack or is it on the side? Altogether I repeat my first line: ONE-HELL-UF-A-NICE-BASS-MAN Paul PS: and professionally spoken: nice picture. |

STOMMERIK To myself. All the answers were on the Swap-department. I didn't realise the bass was for sale! Anyway, you've met Jan already so that makes three of us joining into that store! I'm unfortunatley unfortunate so I hope you'll find a buyer on E-bay. CU Paul |

Hi Paul, Stommerik? Ha ha. Thanks. Yes, that makes three of us, but there's another one Duncan Muller (Muller1007). So that makes four. Yeah, the army is growing. Standard body style? Edwin? Depends on the night before I guess. The upper horn has something from the Rogue. About the picture. Just a lucky shot. I took a digital camera but it was already late, I even couldn't see the bass through the lens. The light you see near the nut looks professional but actually it is my X-mass tree. How simple can it be. The only external sopwer supply is me. For the rest 5 9V batteries. 4 for the leds, 1 for electronics. You won't believe how many e-mail messages I received during the last three days. It's almost a fulltime job to answer everything. Inclusing the technical specs. I've said it before, it's hard to part with after all the messages I receive. But it's also fun to see how many people are interested and how kind all Alembic lovers are. Maybe we will meet someday in Hilversum. Even though I don't get there very often. I'm always looking for old stuff except my amps and cabinets. You know, old analog effect pedals and so on. Now I had the chance to buy this series I small body from 1977. I've been searching for the right one for almost 15 years. Got it. Talk to you later, Take care, Manfred |
