I just wanted to post a couple of pics of my latest Alembic... This is my first Essence. I cant believe how many tones are in these simple controls. One low pass filter and a pan control and WOW. Anyway Im very happy to own this, this one also has the "Wide Spacing" option on the fingerboard. The bass feels like home.

It took quite a bit of Fitz polish to get this one shiny and looking good ( I cannot believe the amount of tarnish on that brass) after going over the Brass and the fingerboard with lemon oil. All thats left is a new set of strings. - Tom

Thanks.
Angling the bass differently definitely brings out the top more...

I love 'Tiger Stripe' maple, surely the most overlooked NO EXTRA CHARGE top wood that ALEMBIC offers.

Thanks... Even on a model considered "Standard" the build and overall quality is uncomparable. This is a great bass.

Hi Echo!Nice bass!
The body looks real small. What's its total width?
Do you mind measuring it,with the 24th fret width too.cause Im thinking ordering a custom7,but I dont know how wide the Essence body is.
Thanks a lot.
Peace
Roberto

Hi Roberto
Here are the specs for the Essence model
http://alembic.com/prod/essence.html

The essence body is pretty small and comfortable, my bass has a simple Volume/Pan/Low pass filter and its very powerful.

When you say measure do you want me to actually measure the body width? the bottom width of the actual body is around 12 inches. You can see the rest of the specs on the link provided.
Thanks
- Tom
