Hello everybody, This is my new Alembic Epic fretless 4 string,it has a Vermillion veneer with Maple accent and a Mahogany body. The neck is Maple with an Ebony fingerboard. I'm verry glad that I've found this bass in the Netherlands because alembic basses are verry hard to get down here. I have one question: witch strings are the best to get a kind of jaco sound out of the Epic? keep it grooving y'all |

Welcome and congrats on a beautiful bass. Sorry, I don't know what kind of strings would help you get a Jaco sound. Rich |

Hello Matofski, If the Rotosounds seem too agressive (after all, Jaco didn't have Alembic electronics), I've grown to really like Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flats JF344. I use them on my fretless Epic. Enjoy your beautiful Epic, Mike |
