Nice axe. Especially given the years on her. Tell us how she plays.

Hey Kevin
Email reply attempt was blocked from your end.
Quick answer check out FAQs all intruments, finish care. Bottom line, very costly 1150 to start for total refinish, partial "touch-up" may fix problem at 550 to start, but will not look as nice. You can always contact directly for more info.
Good luck

Thanks to Normand "Inthelows" for your advice on curing "buckle rash" - I'll consider the options!
In reply to Dave - Yes, the wings on the body are two beautiful pieces of solid Koa. They seem to change colour depending on whether the bass is in natural daylight or under artificial light.

Very nice Spoiler, Kevin, I love the Koa/Maple contrast very much... a superb bass to play, I gave 83S2566 ("Bridget") a good home. Bridget rules, and I'm sure your Spoiler also does.

my best wishes to both of you, from grey Germany over to the green island, your

These early solid Koa Spoilers are great! I've never had a instrument in my hands that felt better. The series beats 'em on sound, but The feel I've experienced on my ex '83 and my current '83 has never been matched...
My '87 has a very different feeling, also nice but no match for the '83.

Congrats! Your gonna love her, i'm sure!

Cheers,
Flip
