Here's my 1997 Orion. It's been for sale a few times, but I haven't been able to let go of it yet. It just feels right, y'know?

In the photo it has a set of red DR coated strings. I think they really bring out the maple/mahogany contrast.

Hi Dan, I'm putting DR Low Rider on my Alembics to use, but I haven't put coated string to use. How is the sound or the touch of coated string?

Very nice Dan. I have a set of Peacock blues on my epic that I think look stunning against the maple. take a look and let me know what you think.

I had a set of the Peacock blues on my Status Stealth. The black and blue combination sure stood out. The blues are pretty bright (visually). I'd like to see how the black ones look on maple.

I like the coated DR's. They play like as set of uncoated DR's that have been on for a few weeks. They're still plenty bright, but they feel broken in. The red finish is starting to flake off, which is kind of disappointing, but it's not noticeable unless you get close.
