"East" as in east-coast super-Jazz builders, usually with a two-band EQ, "West" as in a certain west-coast builder that is well known for its preference for LP filters. I believe ctjim's also has side LEDs with an on/off switch. John, yes it does have amber side LED's and golden agoyya inlays. Still that's a real beaut! Enjoy! One of these days I'm gonna post pix of my two Custom Orion "twins" (does that make them Gemini's instead? LOL!): "Son" of EMW and EMW #4 (4). FWIW, CTJIM's custom Orion differs from all the other EMW's in that it has a mahogany body and the controls are set in a "smiley face" layout. Somehow, Susan ordered my EMW with the MXY's and Mahogany body and then they made me a new one when she realized what happened. This one got finished to the remainder of my original order specs, minus the boo-boos. I subsequently added a gold-plated SS surface mount logo with shell, PH neck pinstripes, THG knobs, and an ATA flight case to "Ke(vi)n's Custom Orion" to finish my order.
