Hello Alembic community, here is my humble input for the drool pages. It's a 94 Mark King Standard with feather flame walnut top and side LEDs (no picture yet). Nicer pictures than the actual ones on CNN I hope. Peace, brothers and sisters ! Werner, Cologne/Germany |

Ok guys ... stand back .. watch out for the drool on your key-board ... don't forget to wipe your screen after you tried to climb into the screen. Werner ... WEW!!! The pictures _technically- are amazing- but am I right that there is a yellowish bias due to artificial lighting??? And Werner ....WEW 2 You play GLOCKENKLANG! Like I do (I think there is one more guy) WEW (I keep on wewing) |

Hi Paul, thanks for the flowers. I was using 12V halogen lamps to illuminate the pictures so the bias is possible. But I am not a passionate photographer actually I didn't even own the camera I took the photos with. I just borrowed the camera (Nikon coolpix) from a friend because I don't have a digital camera (I need all my money for the music ;-) The picture with the Glockenklang was from the previous owner. Believe it or not: I used to play Glockenklang but sold it because I was looking for a more flexible equipment. My actual rig consists of a TC1140 parametric EQ and a QSC RMX2450 PA. Both channels of the QSC goes directly into a SWR Megoliath 8*10 cabinet. The Megoliath consists of two independent 4*10 cabinets and the upper one has an additional Fostex horn. That's all. The headroom and the clarity of this setup is incredible and the TC is the most flexible EQ I know of. I also have a TC Triple C Multiband compressor which I am only using when I play Rock Tunes (getting less every day). For Jazz, Soul and Funk (getting more every day) I don't use it. But don't get me wrong: Glockenklang builds very high quality amps and cabinets. It just didn't fit right to me. If you like to take look to my equiment then just follow this link: http://www.wernerwitzel.de/gear.htm Werner |

Hi Terry, yes, the MK is heavy. My kitchen scale shows 5,8kg which is a bit over 13lbs. I guess. But since I am an XXL guy too it wasn't too heavy for me :-) Because the MK signature have no hollowed chambers like the series models I guess they are heavier than the series models. I said 'was' because the MK has found a new caring home at brother onesimus since last week. Since I started playing short scale beginning this year I fell in love when I saw his SC deluxe. He was desperately looking for a MK and we decided to swap. I will get the SC out of customs tommorrow and hopefully discover that my decision was a good one. |

thebass..mine weighs just under 14lbs so I am not alone in thinking these are heavy basses. The one I own is medium, I played a short scale a few years ago, they are much easier to play and you certainly don't hear the difference to medium or regular scale. |
