Woohooo, I actually just managed to snag this amazing bass from Ruben in NYC who had purchased it from Ken about a year ago. It's truly a dream come true for me. Just the right size and very easy to play. My "perfect" Alembic!

Very cool story Spencer. Congrats on landing your dream bass. You are right about the size and ease of play... and a beatiful piece of coco bolo too! What a great bass, play it in good health.

Thanks for all the warm wishes and congrats! Most appreciated. I'm finding the 32" scale and lighter weight much more to my liking. My previous Alembic 5 (January 2001 Featured Custom) was just a bit too big and heavy for me. I want to thank Ken for buying this bass in the first place and then taking such good care of it. By the way, I see from the original paperwork that it was purchased from Rockley Music right here in Denver. Go figure!!!! Also bigtime thanks go out to Ruben who saw my post and made this happen.
