The video of Artie's purple heart guitar is at Conan's website for those that missed it.

The flash movie player and their advertisers servers can be a bit sketchy so you might try a few times.

The purple guitar is so purple it looks red on the video. Jimmy Vivino really shows it off on Monday Oct 29th, playing it for the entire show. He picks it up for a few songs on Tuesday and Wednesday too. I suspect that it was a bit heavy, because he holds a fender for the 15 minute monologue but played the Alembic.

It didn't seem that heavy as basses go :-)

The neat part is how much better it looks on video than in pictures. It's really true how pictures don't do the instruments justice. Real life is even better :-)
