Hi everybody!
I'm very proud to join this forum! I'm now the incredibly happy owner of an Alembic bass! I just bought a brand new Stanley Clarke Signature Deluxe with quilted maple top and back. I so love quilted tops!!! I wasn't on buying such a kind of instrument, but when I saw it on the Bass Central website, I couldn't resist to buy it! It was not really reasonable for me because I've already bought 3 other basses this year!!!
some pics of my new baby.

Congrats again Didier on your addition to the gang of basses! You'll probably have a hard time putting this one down!

The quilting is beautiful! Enjoy!

edited for spelling :-)

Hi again! Here is a new pic! Now I've received my bass and I love her!!!
That's me holding proudly my new baby!

bassfamily

From left to right you can see my other basses:
1971 (my birth's year) Fender Jazz bass,
1967 New Old Stock dead mint unplayed 1967 Fender Coronado II bass,
Namm 07 2007 Rickenbacker 4003,
And my 2 MusicMan StingRays: The 2006 30th Anniversary is fitted with a clear mirror pickguard, and the 2005 StingRay5 is fitted with an aluminium brushed pickguard.

And now I've just given an order for a MK deluxe with coco bolo top and back! I should receive it in march or april! Waouuuuuuuuw!

Cheers!

Hehe!

Salut mon ami!!!! Oui c'est bien moi!!! C'est un scoop! Une merguez qui joue sur Alembic! Hahaha!

J'ai dû faire vite car c'était la seule Alembic Stanley Clarke qu'ils avaient encore à l'ancien prix! Et j'adooooore le quilted maple!!!

Youpeeeee et à + sur le forum???!!!

;)))))

Didier

Hee hee!
Hi my friend!!! Yes it's really me!!! It's a scoop!!! A sausage playing an Alembic! Hee hee hee!
I nearly have some regrets to have sold my amp and cabinets to you! So I had to replace them and I just bought an Eden amp and cabinet (the most compact and less powerful, so I can play at home! We can just see them behind my two MusicMan). That's true that the sound is awsome! I had to decide quickly because it was the last SC at the old price!!! And I so loooooove quilted maple!!!
Yeepeeee and see you soon on the forum???!!!
Cheers,

I believe some variaties of quilted maple are known as "sausage". My knowledge of the French vernacular (argot) is not really up-to-date - so what makes a person a merguez?

In that case, a merguez is simply a guy (me) who is a very bad bass player!!! I think its more a french description!!! I don't know in english how to qualify it!
