The facing wood is buck-eye burl with purple heart & maple pin striping on a mahogany back. The LEDs are opperated from a single switch with top & side illumination, when switched off, i still have front & side markers, they cost an additional £500 (@$1,000). The only down side to the Simms LED system is that it is all powered from the circuit battery, so one 9v battery is running the tone circuit & LEDs, which makes for a more regular battery change of about about every 3rd gig, if i have the lights on for the 2nd &/or 3rd set (but that is when posing at function/dinner dances!). I'm also a big fan of the Rogue. All my custom Alembics are Rogues. Thay have that sleek predatory look. I'm sure that with that amazing top and the LEDs, it draws ALOT of attention. In fact it has a case, but it is clearly not made for the Rogue (the bass keeps swinging a little bit inside of it). I've never found where to order cases in Alembic's Site, thank you both for the tip.
