This is a 2002 SC Deluxe. The front is Walnut burl with a maple burl pickguard (my first bass, a Fender Musicmaster had a pickguard; while totally useless, I love the way it looks). The body core is flame maple. The back is cocobolo. I couldn't decide which woods I wanted, so I tried to get them all on one bass.

In a word, well two words, WAY COOL! I love burled woods, someday I'm gonna have me a burled (walnut, maple, madrone or something else) bass! |

Hey Jon, very nice indeed. What's the peghead, ebony? Would like to see a full pic of the bass to put it all together. Bet it's a real dream to play. Stoney |

The picture is kind of bad, but the peghead matches the body- walnut front & cocobolo back (I need a better digital camera). This bass is so incredibly easy to play, I think it could make anyone sound good. I can't believe one bass could sound to great |

Cool, man ! This bass tells me: "I am a beauty, no matter what you think." It really has understatement. And the burled wood looks great. I guess this bass has the worlds most expensive pickguard. Congratulations. |
