According to this month's Bass Player, Mike Rutherford recorded 'No Reply At All' with his Alembic Series 1. Until now I've always associated Mike with Shergold. Can anyone on here throw any light (or even post pictures) on Mike's Alembic? Graeme. |

There was a previous thread here at the Alembic Club. I associate him most with Rickenbackers myself, though that probably just betrays that I like the early stuff best... (Message edited by hieronymous on October 15, 2008) |

Excellent! Thanks for that Harry - I did look but couldn't find the earlier thread. Guess I need to hone my search skills;-) Graeme |

I actually couldn't remember if the thread had been here or in another forum, so I used Google! |

Ok, I'll post this again... Mike Rutherford is actually who led me to Alembic. I saw the list of equipment in the Abacab Tour brochure, and had to check them out...and now I own 4 of them. BTW, when they came to the bay area that year, it was 1982, and the 10th anniversery of "Foxtrot". Supper's Ready live is breathtaking. |
