basscase
"Sweetness" resting comfortably in a case I
had made for my Epic last year.
I'm very happy that my
Rogue fits very nicely inside of it.Got lucky
on that one.

Dave: it looks awesome! Those THG knobs really set-off the Purpleheart top. The paua shell inlays look great with all that purpleheart and ebony.

I also didn't realize that the stock Alembic HS cases have two compartments in them. My flight case only has one compartment with a hinged flap over it. It also looks like it has support under the neck, which mine doesn't (i.e., they cut the padding too low in my opinion). The bass rests on the front edge of the headstock and "G" string tuner, which pulls it out of tune and doesn't thrill me. At least in has about 4" of padding underneath it.

Thanks for the compliment.Glad to see that beautiful Orion is in your hands finally. They must
have been oooing and ahhhing at your work place.
Actually, the marker on the knobs are abalone since the oval inlay's on the neck are abalone. The case is from
Unitech which I ordered through a local music store.
I had it made for my Epic 4 before I
became owner of the Rogue.I got lucky in that
the Rogue fits it perfectly since the body
outlines of the two are nearly the same. And yes,it has lots of padding especially under the
neck.Plus the color of the liner material compliments the purpleheart top.

Kevin I had the same problem with my asa case on the last series 2.I had spoke to Mica about this and I believe Mary actually handled it.I requested(to my dimensions)a foam ramp to match the slope of the neck in relation to the body/head stock angles and three 3" square foam pillows all wrapped in the same color velvet. This raised the bass sufficiently to keep the g-string tuner from hitting the bottom of the case AND gave the added neck support the case should have had to begin with!Mica told me the case company would be making the necessary changes from that point forward to all their cases.Obviously no learning has taken place and it makes me wonder if my new case will have the same difficulty.BTW it took better than three weeks to get the pillows and ramp.Kevin, guys,I'd call up Mary at Alembic and request the ramp from the case company.Maybe the case company will catch on and incorporate the correction to an otherwise perfect design.I rest my case(ahem!)
