This is the bass I have been dreaming of owning since I started playing at 16 (where has the time gone??)
The side dots are LED's.
All I have to do now is convince my better half that I should get a Series 2 five string next!! It will happen!!

Welcome Kevin.
Youyr text is not zery clear on the point is that's your bass actually or your dream.
What series are concerned: the're great but that's an understatement.
As long as there is more "better" than "half" I don't think you'll have a problem!!

Paul the bad one

Yes this bass is my very own. It really sings when played. The clarity of the bass is incredible.
When I order my 5 string Series II it will have a 32 inch scale as the neck is VERY long in a gigging situation. As for the body woods, I love the Coco Bolo figuring, but I will order 5A quilted maple (similar to Takeo's bass !!!)
As for my "better half", she actually loves this bass, and is softening to the idea of the Series II to add to the collection.

Huh? Somebody said my name?

Beautiful Bass Kevin!
I too thought long and hard b/w Cocobolo and 5A quilt, but my previous bass was cocobolo and being MK fan, I had to have the quilt this time!

But, I really love the figuring on your bass. It's very clean, yet has enough "curves" to make it interesting.

Beautiful! Enjoy!
