Here's a nice maple Alembic on stage with Michael Rose (check 3:30) - those melted-chocolate low notes from an Ampeg are just what I'm getting too. I don't know when this video was taken, what model it is (4 knobs on an Essence?) or who the bass player is - information? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGq5JlJXgCc It does look like they're having a little shortage of 'sunsplash' there in Germany... hehe, well spotted, Michael There are only a few seconds in that clip to identify this bass, and it sure looks like a maple-topped Epic fiver to me... and then the "four-knob-trick" suddenly also makes sense and... no, we do not have a shortage of sunsplash over here, at least in the last two weeks we had wonderful sunny weather, almost too hot for my taste, in the higher eighties or lower nineties... puh ! cheers to all of you, Christian |

I agree with Christian; looks like an Epic to me. |

Epic indeed, similar to the one at Product's page at Alembic's site by the way. |
