She looks well cared for. I really like the patina that the brass gets with age.

Ken,

Yes, your bass is a nice representation of a Koa made Alembic.

Thanks for the picture,

Darrell

Played at a blues jam on Sunday and an old friend, Bob Karambalas, got this wonderful picture of my baby. 33 years together and counting.

Love the Koa!
In the photo the lighting makes it look like a "Koa burst". What's the wood face of the Headstock?

Thanks guys, Bob was a sound guy locally back in the day and is now shooting pics. He has a great eye and great composition. If we could get that old guy out of the frame my bass would be a lot prettier for certain. nnek, the headstock face I believe is Bocate. Please feel free to check out Bob's facebook photos, really nice stuff...

Just came across this pic from 2003, at Lupo's in Providence, opening for Max Creek.

The band is Mushroom Soup, we will be reuniting and opening for the new NRBQ at The Met on Fri. 7.15.11 in Pawtucket..

Well, Bob K. caught another great shot of my baby at our TomTom Tribute yesterday at The Met.

40 plus musicians gave up their Sunday to pay tribute to Tom Ardolino, the drummer for NRBQ, who passed away earlier this year at age 56. It was truly magical, 9 groups of players, 4 songs each, all NRBQ songs, all sounded amazing and it all ran on time from 4:00-9:00. We just wanted to thank Tom for his joy and influence on us all..
R.I.P Tom..
