Alembic did some modification on this Guild Starfire Bass at the old 60 Brady St location for me in the early 1970's. The Bridge with sustain block, Tailpiece and stringnut were added at that time. |

Yes, The wood is Mahogany. As far as the tailpiece it looks to me like part of the type of tailpiece on 72-01 , but with out the fine tuners. This tailpiece had been in a bin at the 60 Brady St location and was offered to me at the time. I immediately liked it and chose it to be on my Bass. |

Wolf, Studer B-67, Dolby Channels and I think 3/4" Video Tape Digital Multi track! And of course the Beautiful Bass! She must have a distinctive sound. Some things never get old. Well maybe that Digital Multitrack. LOL Pete |
