The Alembic EVH Signature 5-string with Mike Pope electronics.
Amazing upgrade that you can combine with the original pickups:
stacked bass/treble, volume active/passive, balancer, midhighpot with frequency toggle, midlowpot. Powered by 18 volt.
Me and the old configuration
The new electronics
The new pots placed

Hans,

Glad you found a setup that works for you tone wise. Somebody sure did a nice job re-wiring that electronics cavity.

I'm sure you've done so, but hang on to those original electronics- if you ever decide to sell the bass, you'll probably want those. I can't tell from the picture, was the hole for the removed Q switch was enlarged to add that extra knob?

Hi,
about selling the bass in the future is not an option for me.
The bass is A magnificent piece of wood, plays great, but could not find myself in the sound of the electronics. The serie 1 electronics will certainly sounded a lot better, but was outside the budget.

The original electronics so I can restore pre wired.
I've alwayd liked the sound of the Fodera, so i ask M.P. to compose the setup for this bass. The result is great in combination with the original pickups. In neutral position the bass sounds as the original setup, but i've more posibilities to create the sound i like.
Grtz Hans

Here is another Interesting EVH Alembic bass that has a 3 pin XLR output socket. I've not seen one with that kind of socket before.
