Six String fretless "Alembic style" Wishbass.

God bless anyone making their own instruments, but this gallery is not my idea of what a bass
should look like:

Now, his prices are good considering the work he must put into them - has anyone played one?

I see the ads in Bass Player all the time.

Yep. Those sure are ugly... I wonder if they sound as good as they look?

I've got 2 of them. Thick wide necks, very, very upright sound. Worksmanship some what suspect, but he will deliver playable instrument at an 'off the hook' price. When I look at Wishy's, I think more folk art than ax.

That 'striped peanut' bass on http://www.wishbass.com/pages/943110/index.htm sure looks great! I wouldn't mind having one of those hanging on my wall, great to fiddle about with!
