Anyone tried these yet and with what cabs? I was impressed with the Streamliner 600. I tried it with one and then two Bergantino AE112s. One cab on it's own not brill. but two were nice. That apart, the amp was very pleasant. However,I have a very good EBS rig and a very good MarkBass rig and am not necessarily looking to change (or buy more!). If I started again, then the Streamliner (rather than Shuttle) would be high on my list. Wonder what it would be like with my MarkBass Traveller 151P cab?.....mmmmmmm....here we go again. Glynn |

I played a Streamliner 600 through a Genz-Benz Uber 410 @ Chuck's Washington Music Center with a Smith (no Alembic avail. there) and I was pleasantly surprised. I am a fan of Mesa's tube amps. I have and have had several tube pre amp hybrids. The smooth low end and the voicing were much better, IMHO, than the Shuttle series. I moved around the bass area to hear it from several angles, even from behind and found the full, rich bass very pleasing to the ear. Now if only the wife could hear and feel the bass as I do...... |
