I was in a corny mood today: What would have happened if Les Claypool would have gotten the job @ Metallica in '86?

NIce work Flip! I can't play repetitive triplets like that and stay anywhere near on beat.

I imagine he'd have hung himself in a few years, as Lars Ulrich wouldn't have the slightest bit of funk or soul in his drumming, even if he had regular injections of fried chicken grease from a greasy spoon in Arkansas. The ESP knockoffs of the Thompsons would have been interesting though . . . .

And, oh yeah, NICE Elans, Flip.

Myself, I've always admired that 'biga-da-bigida'
triplet pattern that Les kinda made his own. Good on ya for spending tha much time in the woodshed !

I've said once, but I'll repeat myself anytime I see that Bass:

Flip, you've got one of the finest, that fretless is awesome!

Thanx all!

The fretless is only two holes away from getting Signature electronics, should make it even more awesome! :-) (now I must learn to play it in a proper manner)

Here's a nice one, from the master himself: Les Claypool playing a part of Master of puppets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZDdrUi1HzI
