Hey Kevin,

Congrats! A new icon! Your bass looks as sweet as ever. When will you grace us with some pix?

Hope all is great with your new friend. Mine should be coming home in the next week (or couple). My bass was ready to ship, but we doubled back to add a cut-off switch for the side LEDs. That's sent it back to Ron for the finishing touch.

Thanks guys,

I really love this bass. Playing it, is about the most enjoyable thing I do on this planet. The next most enjoyable thing is thinking about playing it. You can kinda get the picture here, right?

I have made one change to her already. The knobs are now the plastic w/abalone caps. They look fantastic! (The wood knobs took up too much space.)

The tone is...well, I am not so good at describing such things, so amazing will have to do. So many variables.

The next step for me is to set this thing up for stereo. So I might be posting a few questions in the near future.

Thanks so much to everyone at Alembic! I am a very happy soul.

Life is good.

Kevin

Kevin,

Play long, play hard and keep the funk alive!
Nice bass; something more for me to add to my wish list.

I just wanted to add that the picture Mica put on the home page with the clouds at sunset background is very very nice! (It's also available for wall paper on the featured custom page.)

It is the weirdest thing to log onto the alembic website and see a picture of my bass. It kinda blows my mind, so to speak.

James - I have not decided wether or not I want to rid myself of the wood knobs yet. Are you looking to aquire a set soon?

Later,

Kevin

My secret nightmare fear is that one day I'll visit FARK and see a picture of me....

Sweet bass...

Kevin,

No hurry. Just that your coocobolo and my cocobolo are similar. And your controls are Series II. I know I'll spring for the knobs one o' these days. If yours were available, I'd do it now. If not, I'll wind up ordering something from Roger.

John.....FARK?

James,

www.fark.com

It's a humorously administered collection of news and miscellaneae links and discussion threads. There is something there to amuse, inform and offend pretty much anyone on the planet. It visits upon the entire socio-political gamut, and is well worth visiting at least a couple of times a day to see what's up with the world. It's kind of like Headline News with no specific agenda...

Kevin: can you post pix of the thing with the new knobs? It sure looks sweet with the THG jobs, I'd like to see it with the new ones.

Kev's K-style Series 2 is the one he's holding, and the 2nd from the right in the standing five line
