So someone from Switzerland has expressed interest in my SI that I have for sale.

The person seems genuine and I am giving consideration to doing this.

Is there anything I should be aware of when it comes to shipping an instrument overseas (i.e. difficult paperwork, hidden costs, etc).

Thanks

Make sure your buyer is aware that He'll most likely be stung for import taxes. When my MK turned up in Scotland I was hit for around 15% of the value of the instrument!. Pretty sure this will apply to most european countries.

In Holland is about 23% (19% VAT and about 4% import tax) of the price on the invoice PLUS shipping costs and about $20 custom clearance costs.
