Anyone on the forum using an SVT4? I've been using pre / power amp combinations for several years but now I'm thinking of going to something less complicated to keep going when it's being loaded in an out of cars every weekend. Things like interconnects coming loose. I've played around with an SVP-pro preamp and quite liked the tone options and was wondering if the SVT4 was similar or even added anything. My current pre is Fender's TBP-1 which gives a great bottom end but starts to sound a bit clanky if I try to add enough treble to hear the top end. One of the issues is most likely having a pair of 2 x 12 cabinets but again, when I use a 4x10 I find it too harsh.

Any thoughts?

I've been using an SVT3 for the past few years and wish I would have had the time to save a few extra pennies for the SVT4. I used a 410 cab for smaller gigs but the rig came alive when I added a 115.

Thanks for the update John. I'm keen to try out the svt4 running different frequencies to each cabinet.
