Can not find a serial number. Guy says he thinks it's from the 80s?

Any help with this would be great. I'm trying to figure out what the heck this is and if it's worth buying. I examined it myself and couldn't find a single distinguishing mark other than that little Alpha Omega graphic.

There is nothing on that bass that would lead me to think it was an Alembic of any kind.
Have a look in this section of the forum to see what the various Elan basses look like.

Not an Alembic, definitely, and not 80s at all. MOST probably a chinese made 2000's neck-thru (Susmile brand comes to mind) as many that are around. I wouldn't give more than 150$ for it, and most surely would change the electronics, if it feels nice to me, as a beater bass. But NO Alembic, and certainly no Elan.

I agree with Juan Carlos. I'd guess some no-name Far East generic four-string bass. If you study the first picture, the four individual bridges are not even parallel. Wavy grain in the fingerboard (a straight grain is preferable). $100, $200 max. I can think of 20 or 30 inexpensive basses I'd buy before I even thought about this one. You always want to buy with some sense of how you're going to resell it when the time comes, and this one would be a dead end street for me.

And yes, DEFINITELY not an Elan. Look over in the SHOWCASE section for the ELAN pages.
