Better yet call your representative and senator's offices in DC and speak your concerns to a real person. Bring up that this will play havoc with the Domain Name System and effectively break the internet (It's a bit more complicated but trying to keep it simple for our congressional folks). It also wouldn't hurt to add this is the same thing we criticize countries such as China and Iran for. Keith |

Hi all; I'm trying to get out the door to drive into town to make it to the post office before closing; but I just got an email from a club member who wanted to advise me of a "political" thread. So, I just wanted to quickly remind folks to step lightly around the topic. Thanks. |

Dang - I was hoping my footnote about non-partisan would keep the Mods at bay . . . ;-) Sorry Dave - hope it didn't keep you from getting to the USPS on time. As Rusty pointed it out, it was all for naught. |

Man, you guys are strange. I live in Washington, DC and we talk politics all the time at work, at home, during dinner, at play, on the Metro, in church... Vann-Di |

Vann-Di, I understand the moderators desire to keep political discussions on a short leash here. We are nothing more than visitors in this cyber-land that is provided by a really great, family owned company; albeit this is the Miscellaneous area, there have been strong opinions made here that could be detrimental to the Alembic family that we all love so much. I personally would never want to be involved with any 'discussion' that may be harmful to the companies reputation. Paul - the soupless one. :-D |
