you know- the i'm at sea and my dad is blind and i want to buy this from you. i'll send extra money
and then arrange pickup yadayada....

got this one today and i am not 100% sure- it is curious that he says he has a hard time making calls but leaves his number
So i'll let you people decide before i reply or not

Hello,

Thanks for the prompt response.. I am ready to buy it as a surprise for our new home my family are moving into in the coming new year and i dont want anybody to know about and i am not in town at the moment because i work with the Military and have been in camp for some time and due to the nature of my work, It's hard to make a phone calls and visiting of website are restricted but you can text me, I squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. I insisted on PayPal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my PayPal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your PayPal email address so i can make the payment asap for it and please if you don't have PayPal account yet,it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com and get it set up,after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address to make the payment or send me an invoice. After when the payment has gone through and it has been confirmed by you and PayPal i have an hauler who will be coming for the pickup of it.... Please do answer this questions about it for me to know how real you are.

1:Are you the first owner of it?
2:Why are you selling it?
3:When have you been using it?
4:And does it has any dent on it or anything?
5:Does it has any fault affecting it?
6:Has it ever been repaired before for any reason?
7:Do you have a PayPal account? so that i can send payment ASAP.
8.Can you send me general close up pictures as i will be unble to come look at it in person and so that i can have a better look?

Hope to read back from you soon.....

A quick search finds this. Pretty much the same text; so yes, not legit.

Total scam... I actually got one like it a few days ago where the person told me on email they were recovering from surgery and could not talk on the phone! Another clown keeps emailing me to go to some web site, which when I googled it shows it to be some hacker malware site.

Sad these folks have nothing better to do.

But hey, send me some money too?

Flax:

From the seller's questions, one can't even begin to deduce what is being sold: a bass? a car? a washing machine? Perhaps an air conditioning unit? (the latter might explain why he tells you he has his "bank a/c attached to it"). Scam all the way.

So how you been doing?

Bill, tgo
