One of the greats, an original Flying Burrito Brother. Maybe Mica can confirm this, but, I believe in the late 70's Chris was part of a 2 bass player thing with Bee Spears in Willie Nelson's band. There is an out of focus on the Willie and Leon album and Chris appears to be playing a Series Bass. Chris played bass on Willie and Leon's One for the Road album. And here's a video of Willie and Leon, with a bass player playing an Alembic Series bass. I can't tell if that's Chris. Never heard it, but did think it was admirably eccentric, as befitted a Burrito alumnus. I think my favourite Chris Ethridge moment is the bass pickup to the chorus of "Do Right Woman" with the Burritos. Man, I miss those guys. Gram, Pete Kleinow, now Chris Ethridge. Hillman is still standing, but the rest are gone.
