Hi all, Last year I bought an old Rickenbacker lap steel guitar from Jorma.
It has an old piece of masking tape that somebody stuck on to remember where they are, and I want to remove it. It's stuck on there pretty good, and has been there a long time. Obviously I would like to leave the paint and what's left of the finish intact. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Try methylated spirit, it will not soften the paint like thinners or alternatively white spirit(I guess it is a cellulose finish) |

Thanks, Terry. Looks like a trip to Home Depot (Homey De Pot?) is in my future. |
