I just noticed the title of this thread: "ALEMBIC 'STYLE' BASS ON E-BAY". Take a closer look at the instrument on e-bay. Aren't those strings incredibly thin for a six-string bass? Another dead giveaway is the listing decribing the axe as a "guitar". Not all Alembics are basses. Similarly, not all cheap crap instruments with fake striping painted to look like a neck-thru are basses either.
