I played Fretless Bass and Trumpet for the soundtrack of this video . My best "chops" were edited out I think on both instruments , so this is what remains. The producers wanted to keep it simple it seems.

Best "chops" editing notwithstanding, very nice job, man!

The bass really moves it. And, ain't that what it's all about?

HI Terry,
Since I do not slap very well and do not really care for playing with a pick , it's " old school finger style " .

Great tone & great playing Wolf! I never would have pegged you for a funk player, but you nailed it!

Thanks Rusty! .
Well ____ I have been a Tower of Power fan since their start and Rocco Prestia has been one of my influences , so maybe it all rubs off ! On fretless Jaco and Mark Egan influenced me and of course Michael Manring . Phil Lesh and Jack Casady influences started me off when I was 15.

I remember once when playing in a country band when the drummer and I "FUNKED UP " the country songs Rocco Prestia & David Garibalbi like at a gig and our "band leader frontman" "chewed us out" at a gig on stage just when the tavern owner came up to the stage and said " Well I never heard Country & Western played like that but don't stop because now they are jumping around like Jack Rabbits on the Dance floor and I am finally selling some Booze !

I played in an original band years ago & we had one country song & I put some "Disco Pops" in it to make it interesting! Funk definitely gets the crowd moving! Play That Funky Music White Boy has always been the secret weapon song for the dance floor in every band I have played it in. If no one is dancing & you play that tune, it will pack the floor!

Wolf, nothing wrong with finger style and as far as Rocco goes, he is one, if not the best!
Being a Level 42 fan, I can nail a shed together very well on the bass, machine gun 16ths at 120 BPM or as fast as I can get LOL
