Very interested !
I have never seen 5 strings on his collection.
The bass sounds like Low-B construction.
I think Hi-C construction is much better for his style (regular + tenor bass).
The scale is short scale that I believe.
How about the neck width ?
Large finger board inlays ?

Definitely a high-C - around 4:07 and 5:30 he's hitting the lowest string, that's an E. The notes below that must be coming from the keyboard player.

He often uses another bass player to fill up the bottom, doesn't he?

Pretty cool find!

The same person has put up some more vids from last night. I just watched Pork Pie Hat, and maybe it's a function of the camera mic or the stage sound or how Stanley has his rig set up, but I think the new bass sounds really nice, a very round, balanced tone.

Interestingly, in this tune near the end of his solo, Stanley is right up in front of the drums, and you can see Stewart suddenly put his stick in the stick bag and then surprisingly reaches up and pulls on the strings on Stanley's bass; and he must have moved the tuning peg as well because Stanley then goes over to tune his bass while the song is still going on.

Like the song linked above, in this one the camera is again focused mostly on Stewart, but then Stewart is fun to watch. He has a nice approach to the music.

Stanley just got this bass a week ago. I'm super happy that he adapted to it so quickly and brought it on this tour!

The details:
Series I 5-string EADGC (.090-.075-.060-.035-.025)
Indian Rosewood top and back
Wide Maple accent laminate
Vermilion body
Maple, Vermilion, and Ebony short scale (30.75") neck
Ebony fingerboard 1.68 x 2.68
Mother of pearl lotus flower inlays
Red side LEDs
Small 2+3 Crown peghead with inlaid logo
Hipshot Ultralight tuners
Continuous wood backplates

I think that's it for the specs. Stanley told me, "You guys are building better and better basses."

It's so cool to see him playing in Paris last night on Youtube today. He is having so much fun!

I'm thinking about catching one of his shows in London this year, although the price at ronnie scotts is pretty steep.

Mica if he has problems with his series cable like he did a few years back in Europe, I can take him a spare series cable in exchange for a place on the guest list. :-)
