I hate that CNN & the Washington Post are calling the murderer of the innocent Sihk worshippers a 'Bassist' cause he played in some type of heavy metal band

Agreed.

On a bright note, a local news station had a Sihk member on this morning and he mentioned that the more people that share the grief the more the grief is divided.

By mentioning he plays bass, they're just trying to tie him to other right wing extremists like Mike Huckabee...

Thanks for sharing that, Pauldo.

Yup, when I hear "heavy metal bassist" I think "right wing extremist" :-( I consider Mr. Huckabee a conservative, but far from extreme as defined by lunatic acts by disturbed followers of both the left and right.
Tragic acts recently, by people deceived by themselves or others to believe that mayhem is their only recourse. I am encouraged by the many who see that path, and turn from it.

The recent tragedy in Wisconsin understandably touches us deeply. And it is also understandable that we each may react through words to such a tragedy, often through expressions of anger, frustration, and pain.

However, as a board moderator I would like to remind our members that characterizing a well known and popular national politician as an "extremist" is, for purposes of our board, outside the posting guidelines. Because politics can be so divisive, especially here in the US, and especially three months before national elections, the moderators prefer that politics be left outside the door when we enter this room.

Please refrain from any further political commentary; and thank you for your consideration of club guidelines.
