I was playing in those places your Mom warned you about back in the day, and, well, let's say I got LOTS of practice at that one back then

My ears always perk up when I hear the occasional tune on the radio where a lot of the song the bass is working the low C's or D's most of the time, instead of the occasional dip down there and back.

So I ran across this BeeGees tune, and specifically this video from a live set in Vegas in 1997 of their tune 'One', with LOTS of low B all the way through it. My hats are always off to the studio engineers who can master these sorts of things where I can hear that B even on the desktop speakers or anywhere else without being on a good system.

All the typical BeeGees cues, the smooth, sibling harmony, those lifts to the two, the passing minor sixes and threes in the bridge, and their particular brand of cool, white R+B they mined so well. Particularly sad to see this and miss Maurice and Robin so terribly. Barry was here a month ago and looks very tired, and no wonder. They were amazing songwriters and performers, and well-regarded.
