http://www.atlansia.jp/BASS.NEW.HTML Scroll down to see the models. Certainly some interesting pick ups and electronics. They look cool, but has anyone seen or heard one? |

I am partial to the "Solitaire" and the "Dualist" myself. Most excellent!! Jimmy J |

Hmm, Jimmy I'd sure like to see you doing a gig with Allan Holdsworth using either of those basses. Now that would be a challenge. :-) Jazzyvee |

We really like N. Hayashi and enjoyed meeting him on visits to Japan. He is a very interesting and nice guy. |

I used to be curious... or rather admire several Atlansia basses, especially that idea of the ultra narrow headstock. But then I got my Alembic and knew more about other Alembics... and found these rather uninteresting to me now :P |

I remember first seeing those in my high school years (mid-late '80s) in Tokyo in Japanese bass magazines. Hoped to encounter one if not acquire one while living there in the 2000's during grad school but never came across one in a store. Love the ones where each string gets its own disc pickup. |

For any of you Aria SB guys, the 'H. Noble' designer mentioned on that peghead decal . . . . was Hayashi-san, before he went out on his own. Deliciously different in a very Occidental way. J o e y |
