Mica, Val, Susan, anyone:

In looking at my SF-2 manual (version 2.0), I noticed that on all three pages of "sample settings" Channel A is set absolutely identically in 15 of the 16 sample settings. The 16th is only different in that the filter type is set to "High Pass" where the other 15 are set to "Low Pass". Otherwise the rest of the settings on the 16th match the other 15. No difference. Seems a little curious? Anyone know why this is? If the Channel A settings are ever moved will the earth immediately reverse direction on its axis? I gotta know!

Hello,
I also would like to know what the deal is with that ... I have ver. 2.0 of the manual myself and while I found the rest of the manual to be really helpful I did not understand why the settings (in the manual) were shown as such...

Hello,

I never really looked at this before, but I think this was done to give us a simple way to hear the effect of the filter. In all the examples, channel A is effectively turned off (filter gain is "0"). Once we get an idea of the possible sounds using one filter, we can move foreward to applying settings to both filters. For example, you can try one sample setting for channel A, and another for channel B. I guess the possibilities really are practically endless.
