Happy New Year to you all.My chances of becoming an Alembician again are sadly as remote as a distant galaxy. It's why I don't post anymore,I can't really feel part of this wonderful gathering.Notwithstanding,I wish you all every happiness in the coming year.

Simon.

Happy New Year to all!

Simon, you're still part of the family. Alembic is a state of mind, more than a piece of gear. There are so many aspects of my musical world where I'll think to myself, OK, is this up to Alembic standards? And that will bring me beyond the ordinary.

I would like to offer the most sincere wishes for a prosperous, healthy, and Musically fulfilling year to all of my Alembic Brothers and Sisters. It was about a year ago you accepted me into the ranks of the best Basses and Bass players on the planet. Your encouragement, support and professional advice have been so invaluable I struggle to find the words to express my gratitude. In that time I purchased 3 Alembic Basses. Nick, I believe this Alembimania?
I would also like Thank Mica and Mary for their special attention when I needed it. Where else can you get Owners of a company spending time on Basses made decades ago?
You guys (All of you, players designers builders Etc. Etc.) are truly the best on multiple levels.
Happy New Years and Many more!!!!
Peace
Pete

All the best, people of this shining, spinning, blue orb in the blackness of space and time! One more time around.......at least.

Right on, Pete!

Sharp eye there Bradley! No; it's not my bass. It is however a rather well known bass on the forum.

Happy New Year guys, 2012 was a good year for me and certainly the combination of getting my Series II, meeting the Alembic dream makers and you guys at the California meet this year is certainly amongst the highlights of the year.

Two of the bands I play in have albums planned for release this year and have been talking seriously about touring so there is a possibility of me hitting the road again but with my bass this time.

I'm also planning to record and release some of my own music this year. I've done quite a fair bit of composing and home recording in the past but have never been able to persuade myself that I was representing myself properly or that it was up to the standard I aspire to. So, I'm planning to be more realistic with myself and start writing music again and be more objective with the finished product and get a second opinion from another musician who's opinion i trust before i decide it's future.

Have a fantastic 2013.

Thanks for including a pic of you and my bass, Dave! Given your own gorgeous instruments to choose from, I'm very flattered. And, Art, thanks for the kind words and link to "Mary". Wish I could hook up with you and Dave for coffee and jamming!

Again, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you both and everyone else connected to Alembic.

Having been to Dave's for refreshments and jammin' with Dave and Art, I can attest that it is well worth the trip. However, you had better go when there's no snow or make sure you have 4 wheel drive + chains or you'll never make it up Dave's driveway!

Sam:

Before you get so envious, I was in North Carolina because my brother, the dentist, lives there and I needed not one but two root canals. Hanging with Dave and Art was definitely the high point of the trip. (Not a lot of competition there!)
