Coming from someone with a degree in audio engineering and 20+ years of practical experience, I can tell you that this video only moderately exaggerates the reality of it. Of course, now we have Pro Tools.

When asked (standing behind the sound board) what my job is, I've been known to answer "Make them sound better than they are." Mebbe never quite had to deal with that extreme, though - thanks very much.
