Hello folks , it's my last week before i can change my options on my series 2 and i still doesn't know how colours my led's will be !!! I didn't know it would be so difficult to choose a bass...i like all led's colours but amber ones look pretty nice . I 've read that amber led's couldn't be as bright as other colours ? opinions? | ||

Alain: I recently went through this dilemma. I tried different colors at Alembic and quickly narrowed it down to amber and red. The others seemed too bright and glaring for my taste. I also put out a thread asking for opinions from others: http://alembic.com/club/messages/449/13096.html?1097579533 What made the decision for me is that red will not affect your night vision. You will still be able to see your fretboard without he red LEDS blinding you in any way. That's why I going red. Bill, the guitar one | ||

I definitely agree with Bill on that. However, you can opt for a dimmer on your LEDs, so you can set them to the brightness you want for whatever situation comes up. Then, you could go for whatever color you liked best, and adjust as necessary. Personally, I just prefer the red ones. Note: I have red and blue, only. | ||

You really don't need the side LEDs very bright at all. They just need to be bright enough to notice. I told Valentino that he was crazy for the minimal loading he had on his las bass' blue LEDs - they are crazy bright. In fact, the less bright they are, the slower they consume the batteries (of course on a Series II that doesn't apply). |
