At 1:17 and a bit beyond you can see a clamp/capo/pickup?? of some sort on the heel of the headstock.
Does anyone know what that is ... looks like a hotel room repair to get you through the gig sorta deal , or was that a permanent fixture on his old Ric ?

There's lots of information on that over at the Ricsource forum.
I believe it was a temporary repair. I think the director Vincent Gallo (Buffalo 66) owns that bass now. As I said, all that information is at that Ric forum. There's a whole section (as you would imagine) dedicated to Chris Squire.

Thanks moonliner, I'll venture over to Ricsource soon.
I recently rediscovered the XYZ album (thx youtube!) ...boy does Chris sound good on that one.
He cuts through the mix great on that one.

Great song and sound!
I was surprised to hear the audience applaud at the end . . . at times it appeared that they weren't really enjoying the tune.
