Hi All:
HHEELLPP! I have a couple of questions about the wiring for a set of Alembic guitar pickups. I have 2 single coils with the hum canceller. I do not have any of the pots or boards that complete the set up. If I wanted to run the pickups wide open with no volume and no tone controls for the time being do any of you have any idea how I might wire the 2 pickups and the hum canceller together with a pick-up selector switch, output jack and 2 9V battery clips? I believe I need to run 18 volts (2 batteries) or do you only have to do that when the rest of the electronics are present? I'm planning on buying the Alembic electronics down the road when I rebuild my music gear slush fund. I'm completely lost on this and really need some help.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may be willing to offer.

Mike

I believe your gonna need the rest of the guts (circut board etc.) because that's the brains behind those series pick ups.question, how did you end-up with series pick ups with out the rest of electronics?

Hi Keavin:

I bought them from Neals Guitars per the suggestion of one of the club members here. He apparently swapped them out for some other kind of pickups and had them for sale on his website. I too thought it was an unusual situation but I bought them because they fit the body cavities on the guitar and I had not seen any anywhere else. I figured I'd start with the pickups and work from there.
