Hi there, I notice that when I post a message, when looking @ all the posts for a topic, under "Last Poster", only my first name appears (my fellow Alembicians show full name). Once inside the post, then you can see my full name. I couldn't find an option to change this in "Edit Profile." Does anyone know how to change this, or is this something an administrator has to change? Mikey/ | ||

I've been trying to figure out how this is happening on your posts. I don't even see a way to change this as the administrator. As the administrator I can suppress the user ID (the part in parenthesis) for all posters. So far, yours is the only ID that I've noticed the behavior on. I'll post here or email you directly if I find the solution. | ||

Hey Mica, Playing around one day I figured it out. Initially, in my profile, I had my name listed as Michael (Mikey) Paskel...apparently what was happening was it was taking all the characters up till the "(", and dropping everything else. I changed my username to Michael Paskel (Mikey), and now on my new posts it shows Michael Paskel and drops the rest. Mikey/ P.S. I called you the other day but you was on the other line. I did speak to Susan yesterday. Just wanted to let you guys know how beautiful my new baby is. It's a true work of art, and plays magnificently. I'm going on an audition tonight, and will certainly bring my new Triple-O with me...I figure even if my playing doesn't get them...my Alembic is sure to steal the show. Thanks again...you guys do incredible work. As another member so elegantly put it...you make magic happen. |
