On the Allman Brothers Band DVD Brothers of the Road the bass player David Goldflies plays a couple of different Alembics. He wasn't the most popular of ABB bassists but I like his playing and you can hear his clear tone coming through the mix. Its from two concerts from the late 70's or early 80's. I'm a big fan of all the musicians that have been through the ABB rotation. The new line-up is a blast but my favorite is from the 90's when Allen Woody was rocking Red Rocks. hieronymous New Username: hieronymous Post Number: 8 Registered: 1-2005 Posted on Sunday, February 06, 2005 - 10:09 pm:    I saw Allen Woody playing his Alembic with the ABB, must've been '91-'92 at the Orpheum in Boston. What a mind-blowing concert! Oil-and-water and 18-string bass... For some reason I feel like he used his Alembic on the second song, which was "Blue Sky", but I don't really trust my memory that much. This was the "reunion" tour that featured "Dangerous" Dan Toler on guitar (along with Dickie). He was very young and "visually" did not blend too well with the rest of the band, but his playing was decent. I don't remeber him playing an Alembic at that time.
